Surprised to see this worked perfectly with Jane Bond (a smokey shade). It makes a good base, which surprised me as one normally expects beiges, tans, and so on, for bases, this is not so red that it makes your eyes look tired (i took pictures in different lights to make sure), even if used all over (i.e. including under the eye), not so deep that you look like a goth (not that that's a bad look, it's just not as versatile), not so brown that it looks dull.
It diffuses easily. It's more fool-proof than these type of shades normally are. It sets "Serenade" pencil perfectly.
It's like a more wearable and flattering version of Clinique Black Honey SINGLE eyeshadow (the Clinique one makes me look tired or bruised).
